Early details are sketchy. It appears that a lot of vital issues remain essentially unresolved, including those relating to Iran’s ability to develop nuclear weapons. Israel and Lebanon do not appear to be parties to the deal either. At least there appears to be some kind of commitment for the parties to stop shooting at each other and to open up the Strait of Hormuz, which will undoubtedly help oil prices.
