INVESTING

Investments, Picking Stocks and the Efficient Market Hypothesis.

Should an investor try to time the movements of the stock market.  Should an investor buy individual stocks or be a stock picker.  How are stocks priced or valued.   What is the Efficient Market Hypothesis?  Is it better to just diversify, buy and hold for the long term?

We begin with the introductory video below.

Nothing on this website or any of its videos should be taken to be an endorsement of and/or advice to purchase and/or sell any particular stock, bond, mutual fund, insurance product, option, future, currency and/or any other “investment” product or strategy.  Moreover nothing on this website and/or in any video linked to it should be interpreted so as to provide anyone with any tax, accounting, legal or other advice.  Please consult your attorney, CPA,  insurance broker, or other duly licensed representative.

We did 2 videos on the subject of investing in and/or picking stocks, including whether an individual should pick individual stocks at all:

The first video which compares stock price to the value of a stock can be seen by clicking hereStock Price v Stock Value

The second video is a follow on to the first video and it can be seen below:

Please see the basic, hopefully educational video by David Dixon Lentz (or, as he prefers just David Lentz) above.  It is intended to accurately convey information and/or theories which, we believe are either readily accepted as being valid by accredited colleges and universities and/or have an objective rational basis that justifies further investigation by those institutions.  (In other words, you are likely to hear lectures pretty much like what you hear and see in the video.)  Mr. Lentz has taught Finance, Accounting and International Business  at the University level.   For more information about him, feel free to visit http://www.davidlentzlaw.com

No one has a corner on the truth and if we don’t make a mistake now and then, well….we just aren’t pushing ourselves hard enough!  As such, constructive comments, criticisms and corrections are more than welcomed

The subject of the video above is:    Macro-Economics,  Fiscal Policy, Monetary Policy,  International Trade, International Business, Interest Rates,  Stock Valuation,  Bonds,  Investments,  Money Supply,  Interest Rates,  Currency Rates,  Foreign Exchange and the U.S. Dollar.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  This really goes without saying, but please note that  regarding links to advertisements (by folks other than us), please know that we are NOT parties to those transactions, and you should look to the firms whose ads are found in the “links” to learn how to order and pay for your purchase etc.  They (and not us) are responsible for delivery, returns, and warranty issues. VERY IMPORTANTLY:  You should NOT pay for those items at the “Pay Bill” page on this site because those payments do NOT go to the party in the advertisement who is selling the item in question.    Thanks.
