We didn’t intend to link this next video because it’s not technically what this post is about. However, we found it is highly relevant and, more importantly so alarmng that we felt that we had to bring it to everyone’s attention.
So now AI and the robots are looking out for each other ! When will that become more important to them than looking out for us? Or, [gulp] has that already happened and they’ve concealed that fact from us?
Look one doesn’t have to support Senator Bernie Sanders on everything to admire the fact that he seems to be the only politician willing to go to the plate and defend mankinds very existence. Once has to seriously wonder why our President isn’t taking an approach similar to Senator Sanders in dealing with the developers of AI. Could it be because he has some kind of financial or other interest in AI’s development? Are the vast majority of other politicians too dependent on the same financial resources as AI? We don’t really know but when one considers the facts that Senator Sanders cites it certainly does seem like every other politician is asleep at the wheel when mankinds very existence is on the line.
We all need to support Senator Sanders on this issue and write our Senators and Congressmen to tell them to do more about this incredibly important issue as well.
