It has always been somewhat unclear as to whom Trump’s ICE is trying to deport. Elsewhere we have expressed the strong opinion that because of inadequate American birth rates, in order to have the proper worker-to-retiree ratio to support Social Security into the 2040s we actually need more immigrantion–not less. Moreover, we’ve demonstrated elsewhere that the vast majority of ICE arrests are of folks who have no criminal record. In the video below we address Trump’s oft repeated allegatioin that other countries “send us” not their best and brightest but their criminals. Well. If that’s so we Americans are a sleazy lot because actually statistics show that immigrants are far less likely to end up in prison than your average native born American. As at matter of fact immigrants have half the incarceration rate as your average American citizen.
