Trump Power Grab Tariffs Held Invalid

OPINION and ANALYSIS:

The Supreme Court recognizing the primacy of Congressional power in setting tariffs, stops Trump’s attempt to usurp this power under the the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).  In response to this important ruling, Trump immediately acted to impose new alternative tariffs, under a different statute (Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974 )   albeit only for a temporary period of 150 days (unless Congress makes them permanent or extends them).

In our video below we also discuss the pros and cons of tariffs generally.
