Dear Readers:
I started Rao’s Solution in 2014 because of a concern about two things: (1) the rise of the danger of the U.S. becoming a plutocracy (oligopoly); and (2) the widening income and wealth gap between rich and poor folks. Rao was published in 2016. Since then we’ve seen the rise of Elon Musk and witnessed his simply astounding gift of $300 million to elect Donald Trump to a second term in 2024. Bernie Sanders published the following in late 2025/early 2026:
American capitalism has created a new royal class of billionaires. This new class has the power to totally distort and manipulate our Constitution and the rule of law. Rao was written over ten years ago in what now seems like a meager attempt to get Congress to adopt employee compensation laws that divide the income companies earn in a fairer way. America didn’t do so.
Below are links to the entire book. Beneath that is a short 3 minute video link that actually explains the formula for the “solution” in the novel.
